Introducing Livio: the bike enthusiastic behind Zampa Wheels
Hey folks,
The love for two wheels has defined my life. I started pedaling at just 3 years old and never stopped. My passion for bikes has been my driving force, with racing playing a significant role.
At the age of 4, I began BMX racing. The minimum age category was 6, but we managed to get special permission. In 1989, I won my first title, becoming the BMX European Champion at just 10 years old.
A few years later, at 15, I embarked on my Downhill career. I joined the Italian National Team and spent several years racing around the world in Downhill and 4Cross World Cups. Over the years, I secured the Elite Italian Championship title five times.
My professional career has always revolved around bikes. With over 20 years as a pro bike mechanic across various countries and cultures, I've honed my skills and deepened my love for tools and mechanics.
My journey didn't stop there. I expanded my roles to include MTB coaching, team management, bike shop management, tech development, and bike event organization.
Today, I proudly call New Zealand home, where "Zampa Wheels" allows me to share my extensive experience and passion with the vibrant Kiwi cycling community.
